Case Study 1 | Full Mouth Reconstruction

This gentleman came to us wanting the perfect smile in time for his son’s wedding. He had lost his teeth over 10 years ago for various reasons – unable to get on with dentures, he had opted to just do without.

When he arrived at our dental implant practice in Banbury he had 2 teeth and these needed to be extracted which left him without any. An essential part of the treatment planning was to have a CBCT Scan taken which allowed Dr Tom to accurately design where the Implants would best be placed. This involves working with our great laboratory who are involved with the design of the end product.

Making decisions

After diagnosis and treatment planning Mr G was given various options on how to create his desired smile. He decided to go with having 12 dental implants placed and to have fixed bridges fitted. As he was used to having no teeth, he decided to not have temporary dentures or bridges so he lived with no teeth for the healing period. We dedicated a day to place the Implants and ensured that there were no interruptions and no time constraints for Dr Tom to carry out the treatment.

The mouth reconstruction stage

We kept in close contact with the client after the treatment to ensure that all was well. A week later, he came back for a review appointment. Dr Tom lets the area settle and allows the Implant to become part of the bone before progressing to the next stage. This consisted of 2 visits over 2 months. When the next phase started and Mr G saw himself for the first time with teeth. We then made sure that the design and fit was perfect.

The next process was fitting the definitive bridges. Carrying out a complete transformation is, to put it mildly – Mr G looks amazing! People have commented that he looks 15 years younger and he feels everyone is smiling at him – this is because he is smiling at them. Our team are extremely proud of the result and are delighted that Mr G has transformed his smile.

Case Study 2 | Implant Retained Denture

This gentleman came to us for a dental implant consultation. He was wearing dentures and was not comfortable with the fit of the lower denture.

We placed 2 dental implants in the lower jaw and constructed an Implant retained the denture. This allows the denture to be taken out and cleaned but the fit is solid as it is supported by the Implants, therefore, there is no movement.

We made a new top denture and the gentleman was extremely happy with his result.

Case Study 3 | A Single Implant

This lady had lost a tooth and did not want a denture. we placed a single implant and placed a crown to complete her smile again. She was highly delighted at the way it fitted and felt so natural.

This treatment took 3 months to complete.

Case Study 4 | Four Implants

This lady had 4 implants placed to support a 7 unit fixed bridge. The treatment, in her particular case, took 10 months to complete. The result was a lovely natural smile.
